The Halegan and Shahini gas fields are located approximately 170 kilometers south of Shiraz, between the Firuzabad and Jam towns and in the vicinity of the Sefid-Zakhor and Baghun gas fields.
Structurally, these fields are situated on the frontal zone of the Qatar–Fars Arch and within the southern part of the Folded Belt of the Zagros. A major portion of the production from these fields has been estimated to produce from the Dehram Formation.
Technical Overview
- The Halegan field consists of two wells, Halegan-01 and Halegan-02. The first exploratory well was drilled in 1973, and the Hallagan-02 well was drilled in 2007.
- The Shahini field includes one exploratory well, Shahini-01 which the drilling was began in 2021 .
